I rocked up to Eb Innaloo at 8:01am yesterday and already there was a line of 24 people… not sure why but I really wasn’t expecting that many people to be as sad as me, but there you go. They split us into two lines, those of us who’d already paid it off, and the others. However, due to haggling, buying extra games (there was a small amount of extra games and wiiplays) and our guy having to stop every 5 seconds to help the other guy… of the original 24 peeps I was the last to get my Wii. By that time a few more people had shown up but the dude said the main rush would be later when peeps got off work/school. I felt old standing in that line though… the average age couldn’t have been above 20 and of the 3 guys I was having a very nerdy conversation with 2 were about 15 and the other i will generously say could have been 18 and I only say that because he said he had the day off Uni (this from a guy who still gets carded all the time). I think I was maybe 1 of 3 people above 25… not counting the Mum’s waiting outside.
Wii in hand I went straight home and after making a bunch of Mii’s I started playing Zelda… Yes it’s as good as the reviews said. Once Ellora got home from work and made her Mii we got stuck into Wii play and Wii sports till midnight and she was playing Tennis again before work this morning.
The comic may be doomed… I only have 1 page left that is all finished, admittedly I have another almost done but the Wii is… calling me… lucky I don’t get Marvel Ultimate Alliance till the 23rd. So that’s something.
