Zoom Zoom A-Zooma Zoom Zoom!*

Yesterday some friends and I made our way down to the South Perth foreshore to watch the final of the Red Bull Air Race and I have to say it was probably the coolest thing I have ever seen in my entire life. A bunch of guys flying way to close to the ground weaving like maniacs through giant inflatable traffic cones… simply awesome. Made me want to go straight home and play Crimson Skies all over again.

If you live in Perth then the odds you know exactly what I’m talking about are about 1 in 5. Apparently around 300,000 people turned up which is about a fifth of the city’s population… Crazy. Not sure if we get the final again but it’s coming back for at least 2 more years. Next time I reckon there’ll be a couple more people crowding the river to watch it and I will definitely be one of them.

Damn it! Before Sunday I had 3 ideas for non-viking art I really wanted to do and the air race has made 4… Good ideas that is, I have loads of average ones. I really need to get my scanner back up and running and stop slacking off if I want to get them done and keep up with the comic. I’ll post them here as I finish them just in case anyone is interested. ^_^
