Yeah the amount of work I got done on this weeks page was pathetic. Way too many other jobs that had to be finished along with some pretty huge personal stuff that I’d rather not elaborate on. So as usual, the comic suffered. I’ll put some Hypersupermega!! effort into it tomorrow and see if I can’t get something up for you by the arvo. I am beginning to wonder if a “normal” week even exists and a weekly update is even possible!

While driving home from work this afternoon my brain, “farted”. I was going 90k’s an hour (the posted speed limit) when completely out of the blue I had a mild panic attack that consisted of the following thought… “Oh S#!$ I’m not wearing a helmet!” The “episode” I shall call it, lasted all of about 5 seconds. After which reality kicked in and I was left feeling properly foolish. This at least, is not uncommon for me and I felt on firmer ground. To sum up… my mind is full and starting to leak at the seams. Just thought you’d like to know.

Well here we are and spring has sprung bringing with it all the lovely allergy bearing pollen pixies. It is hard to maintain ones composure as a “damn sexy bastard” when you’re constantly having to blow your nose. Bring on the drugs!* The more astute of you may have noticed that last Friday’s update contained no Vikingesque figures and was more Ninja-like in it’s appearance. There was a good reason for this but at the time I was too… GRAaAR… so I felt it best to just put up a Ninja in my pocket rather than spew my vitriolic “Graarness” out here. Now with a week between I feel composed enough that I can explain without too much trouble that it involved the house we just moved out of, a rather anal real estate agent with a complete disregard to the property condition report from when we moved in three years prior and well that’s about it really… a call out of the blue leading to lot’s of extra work for us ruining the first day off we’d had together since well before the apocalypse which needless to say left the Wifey considerably pissed off and yours truly an exhausted little “Graary” heap on the floor. Hence my inability to complete the page in time and the resulting pocket replacement. But all that is behind us and this Friday’s page is coming along nicely so that’s ok. Hopefully you liked the last page. The centre panel is actually just a portion of a piece I did of the Angel so if you’re interested in seeing that I’ll be sticking it up later today. Still don’t have a name for her yet… *…by drugs I am referring only to properly prescribed anti-histamines sold by a fully accredited pharmacist. Don’t do drugs and stay in school!
Instead of posting like a regular… whatever… I shall attempt to sum the past two weeks up in a trilogy of Haiku or for the uninitiated… little Japanese poem’s. Yay for Intertron Moving house sucks A$$ New page almost done What?! I never said they’d be good!

Ok so the moving houses thing went off reasonably well, all things considered. However now I am left waiting for Phone lines to be transferred and Intertrons to be enabled… this may take a while, so for now I am at the mercy of friends and family allowing me to visit theirs. Also due to the large amount of unpacking, sorting and cleaning, when I’ll get time to do the comic is anybody’s guess. Meh… how hard can it be? I have confidence in sunshi… er, me.
Just because I know you’re all so very interested. Here’s a list of everything I have to do in the next 2 weeks… 1. Pack as we’re moving house this Saturday. Ok so realistically, number 6 is more of a want as we’ve been surviving with just the Wifey’s car for months now, and number 3 is just a case of ringing the wreckers… Number 5 however will take a fair bit of will power… hmm speaking of number 5 what’s the time? By the way I hope you like the new page and if you have any ideas on what I should call Jermé’s rescuer let me know as I still haven’t named her.

Ok I’m back! Lots of fun was had but man am I glad we decided to go horse riding on the second last day instead of earlier on, otherwise it may have been a very different story. Initially I was all… meh horses… why is it girls are always so smitten with them? (gross generalisation there but what the hey) But the Wifey was all excited about going so off we went. There was a choice of 30min, 2hr and 3hr rides and we both agreed 30min probably wouldn’t be enough so we went with the 2hr one instead… and I’ll be honest. Once the guide let me off the lead and let me do the steering and stuff it was actually really fun and I enjoyed the experience immensely. Although my horse was plainly a n00b horse as even off the lead it still preferred to follow the horse in front and flatly refused to go any faster than a slow walk for more than 20 seconds at a time. Except for one point when it realised it had fallen significantly behind (successfully ignoring my hup-hups and subtle kicks for a good minute or 2) and without any prompting (I had given up at this stage) sped up causing me to almost fall off. Heh… stoopid horse. All I can say is, Uber thigh grip for the win! However… the main point I’d like to stress is, those saddles are hard… and I… well lets just say I’m not well padded. (I prefer the term wiry) And now I’m back and have only 2 weeks till my self imposed re-launch date for the comic. Hooray!… I think. Till then I have a couple of things to post from the sketchbook I took with me and I’ll Whip up another Ninja in my Pocket for you later in the week as well. Thanks for hanging around, I’ll post some art for you this afternoon once I’ve caught up on all my regular webcomics.
Well so there it is… an end to one and the beginning of a whole new chapter in my life. The Apocalypse came and went with surprisingly little calamity and also rather happily, the complete absence of the end of the world. So that’s ok… and now I have a Wifey. Bright and early tomorrow morning we fly out for 2 weeks away on our sweetsyrupcelestialbody. If I get time later I’ll upload something for my Mighty Web Dude to put up later in the week. Unless I fall asleep first… it’s a 50/50 chance. I am taking a brand new sketch book away with me so I’m hoping there’ll be some cool stuff in it when I get back that I can share with you all. See you in two weeks.

Suffice it to say that while the 30min ride would have garnered far less enjoyment. The pain factor would, I believe, have been negligible in comparison to the agony we suffered afterward. Having said that, in retrospect the memory and the humorous anecdote make the whole “Horseriding” thing worthwhile. I highly recommend everyone try it…
