My pal had his birthday the other day so naturally I sketched his character riding his bike. He liked it so much he’s framing the original sketch and putting it in his office.
I’m gonna be on someones wall.

On sunday I was lounging around in a parkish kind of place with some friends while we all waited for it to be time to go to dinner when I suddenly realised I had nothing to post the next day. So I started drawing randomly and this odd little fellow was the result. He’s either about to ignite his light sabre and open a can of venerable Whup-ass all Yoda style… or it’s night time and he’s dropped the keys to his hover car.

So I hope this is awesome enough to make up for me missing last week. I started drawing this one months ago but when I got to the steam generator on his back I had a mental blank. Then yesterday when I was looking for something to draw or fix up for posting I found this and after a little research manged to finish it pretty well.
The theory is it’s a super burst of steam that can cut through pretty much anything, like a light sabre can. Though realistically I reckon it’d work for all of 5 seconds… if that. Although if were talking “realism” the machine would probably just burst and kill the guy, but then light sabres don’t really work either and realism isn’t much fun so let’s just ignore it. 
I’d love to do a Steampunk comic someday, maybe i’ll use this guy in it.

Back in 2007 a mate of mine had a great idea for a comic that he wanted me to draw. I liked the idea, still do, but I have even less spare time now than I did then so I’m not sure if it will ever happen.
Still, he had a birthday the other day so it was a good excuse for another concept sketch. Not entirely happy with it but ah well.

I just realised it’s Monday and nothing I’m working on at the moment is finished. A desperate search of my old sketch books turned up this Squid-thing that I drew mid last year. I was toying with having it attack the Mighty Viking Longboat but in the end left him out. Maybe next time.
I have no idea when I’ll get time to do it but new comic page next week!
